dear martha i have just finished your second book and i found it just wonderfull i have a few questions i would love to ask you plus a few comments i would like to make about your books, the latter first; your two books were just briliant, the first one made me want to take that lovly little girl and hold her in my arms and squeeze her so tight and tell her how much i loved her and make her warm safe and comfortable, she could give love but she needed it so much as well, it awoke every emotion within so much cruelty and yet she was so caring. the second book was equaly wonderfull and so well written her previous experience stood to her it made you laugh and cry just superb.Quest. was jackser ever caught and punished, did your mother ever find genuine love and comfort that she also needed did you ever join up wit your brothers and sisters, how did you retain the love and care you had for others when you were not showen any yourself, and DID YOU EVER FIND GENUINE LOVE AND KINDNESS THAT YOU TRULY DESERVED AS DOES EVERY HUNAN BEING and as you are in the hearts of so many now WHEN CAN WE HAVE THE FINAL CHAPTER love you xxx

I Just finished reading Ma,am gettin meself a new mammy, and then i cried my heart out, it has touched me deeply as did Ma, he sold for a few cigarettes did, i myself was born in the 50’s and i thank god that i did not have to experience the poverty and cruelty that you Martha had to endure, please Martha do not leave me waiting too long before finding out how your life continued after that sad and exciting day that you walked down that avenue from the convent for the last time as a child.

I have no doubts that you finally found the love you truely deserve, but you are also now loved from all those who read your story.

    Eve.

    Dear Martha

I read both your books , and what touched me most is even after suffering so much abuse at the hands of people as a child how you still can love and respect others. Your life story is an inspiration to others and I look forward to reading more books by you

    kind Regards

    Roy

I along with all the others would love to know just what the next chapter in the “life of Martha Long” holds! Whatever happened to Charlie & your other siblings, your Ma, Jackser and life after the convent? I look forward to reading your next book.

martha, i would just like to let you know i could not put down any of your books and i think thats the fastest ive ever read a book, the events are really soul destroying and like most people i would have loved to have been around to take away your suffering at the hands of a monster not fit to be called human, although your story as sad as it was, the sense of humour was excellent and having lived in dublin myself i love the upbeat sense of humour of the irish people and it came through very well were it was needed,i was cheering for you as well as all the other emotions that your book brought, i could sit for hours asking you questions and know i would love to listen to your life story good as well as bad, your a true inspiration and hope you are very happy the rest of your living life, good luck donna

Martha i have just finished reading your second book and i loved it just as much as the first one, i could not put them down once i started reading them.
With having 2 young girls myself i just wanted to find you and take you home, feed you and look after you, give you a lovely warm comfy bed and happiness. I laughed and i cried, how can a mam be so cruel to her children and take the side of a desturbed man like jackser, i hope he got locked up and the key thrown away.
What i would like to know is how wee Charlie got on and when is your next book out?

I have just finished your second book, and hoping there is a third. Like lots of people, I would love to know how you got on with the rest of your life. You could have become so bitter, but instead you became such a lovely person with a great sense of humour.

    Hello Martha

Can you please answer the most needed question of all – WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BROTHER CHARLIE???????

You have not answered this question up to and including your fourth book – it wont deter anyone from reading upcoming books if that is what is frightening you telling any person??????

    Please answer

    Sue
